HISN Facilities
Hampton Infant School & Nursery has excellent facilities and we are committed to the ongoing upgrade of these to ensure the delivery of a first rate curriculum which will allow our children to reach their full potential.
The refurbished and extended hall is the hub of the school providing space for whole school gatherings, PE lessons, school clubs and PTA events. Our classrooms across the EYFS and KS1 are well equipped, they are bright and airy with large display areas. They boast modern technology including a CTouch board in every classroom and WiFi allowing for the use of laptops and i pads which are used in lessons.
The school has a well resourced library and a Creativity room dedicated to the teaching of music, group work, and after school clubs.
The outside area includes an outside classroom for each year group, three playgrounds, and an environmental garden. The playgrounds all have play equipment, canopies, gazovas and artificial grass to allow children to play and learn outside all year round, they are also used for our extensive after school clubs.
We are excited to be working on a 3 phase plan to extend the outside facilities and have been successful in our bid to the Healthy Schools Grant for money towards phase 1 which will include new play equipment, safety surfacing and playground game markings to help keep the children active and healthy. The wonderful HPPA have a schedule of fundraising for this exciting initiative, and phase 1 will be in motion soon informed by Inspired ideas have been gathered from our School Council and staff.
HJS Facilities
The facilities at Hampton Junior School are first rate. We have specially equipped spaces that are designated for the promotion of our broad and balanced curriculum, including a wonderful food technology room which has been newly refurbished, specialist art studio with kiln and a fully resourced music room where specialist music lessons take place and our ensemble groups rehearse.
In addition to this we have a spectacular library which contains a wide range of engaging reading materials, two large halls and a fabulous award winning school allotment complete with pond and wild flower garden. Our two large playgrounds, private sports field and green area enable the children to enjoy their recreation and P.E to the full. Our refurbished classrooms offer children a well-equipped learning environment which is complemented by the ICT facilities including ipads and kindles. Our new multi use hall, kitchen and up to the minute year 6 classrooms are wonderful additions to the school facilities.
