We aim to promote children's learning and overall well-being through sport by providing opportunities for all pupils to participate and achieve excellence. This supports our whole school vision: 'Be the best you can be.'
The Government is providing funding of £150 million per annum to schools as part of the Sports Premium initiative. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school head teachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
The sport funding can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.
Schools will have to spend the sport funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this.
Possible uses for the funding include:

As part of our action plan, we have identified the following focus areas:

For example professional development for teachers will mean they will be able to to be used for many years to come by children at the school.
